Stone is Just the Start
Richard Samuel Luck, the fourth generation of his family to join Luck Companies, grew up fascinated by the business that he spent much of his life around. Following in the tradition of his father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he graduated from Virginia Military Institute in 2012, earning his degree in Business and Economics with a minor in Leadership. After graduation, Richard joined Teach for America and served as a high school math teacher in Charlotte, North Carolina. He then founded a nonprofit focused on low-income entrepreneurship in Richmond, Virginia. In 2016, he brought his passion for service to Luck Companies, becoming the fourth generation of his family to join the company.
Richard’s first role was part human resources, part InnerWill (the Values Based Leadership nonprofit), giving him a strong foundation in Luck Companies’ mission to ignite human potential and positively impact the lives of others around the world. He then spent six years in various roles in operations and sales, from Northern Virginia to Atlanta, Georgia. He is currently Vice President of Luck Stone’s Central South region.
Always drawn to his grandfather’s vision of “We care,” and inspired by his dad’s vision of igniting human potential, Richard believes the greatest impact he can have is supporting the people of Luck Companies. He is focused on developing a scalable company and culture where people come first and associates perform in roles that invigorate their purpose, passions and competencies.
